Common Requests

Iron Fence Repair Services

Broken gate latch

Gravity latches are the most common and 90 percent of them are not adjustable. This can be frusterateing . It works for a while but due to the fact that you cannot adjust it, it is a problem waiting to happen. Years ago we featured an adjustable gate latch on Inspired Ironworks YouTube. Its the best solution and since posting the video, we get calls from all over the country with people requesting these latches since they are custom and locally made.

Rusted lockbox

Similar to gravity latches, these are the mechanism that holds the door knob style latch. These are especially problematic due to needing a small gap in order for the latch to grab on the latch post. If you have this style of latch then it is imperative that you have a j-bolt style hinge while doing your iron fence repair so that you can adjust it when needed. In Texas, exterior gates are always going to move due to the weather conditions that exist here. For that reason, you need to be able to adjust your gate and its done by these special hinges.

Broken iron fence pickets

When the coating on your fence fades away it exposes the metal to the elements and eventually will rust. There are a few other causes for broken but what ever the reason, we can help. We would just simply cut down new square tube and weld it back in place and paint the area to protect it against rust.

Rusted iron fence sections

If you have areas of the fence starting to fall apart then fear not. We are experienced in iron fence repair and iron gate repair. Depending on the severity you may not have to replace the entire fence. If we are able to repair, we do so by cutting out the old rusted sections with a grinder and welding new raw steel back in its place. Then we will paint the area to protect it from rusting again.

Leaning iron fence posts

Do you have leaning iron fence posts? There are a number of ways we can go about correcting them. If the concrete has a solid base then sometimes we can cut the base of the fence and reweld. If we need to reset the posts in concrete, we can do that too.

Add a gate to your existing fence

Another highly requested service. If you need a gate so you can access the greenbelt golf course, we can help. Most of the time we will use your existing fence during the iron gate repair. In short, we cut out a section for the gate, set new posts, throw some hinges on and waaalaaah. New gate project, done!

Fence Repair & Painting

You can stop shopping — just call Inspired Ironworks. I had a wrought iron fence rusted badly in spots. He fixed the rust, adjusted the gates without being asked, and followed up with extra coats of protective paint. Most capable, best bang-for-the-buck, zero hassles. Bottom line: just call him.

I had a wrought iron fence that had rusted badly in spots. Adam went above what was asked - he went the extra mile in terms of the repairs and the cost. He adjusted the gates even though it didn't occur to me to even ask. He used silicon in certain places where it made sense, saving me prolly hundreds of dollars. Followed up with extra coats of protective paint. And he's super cool and chill to work with. Really great dude!
